Sealy Heated Mattress Pad

Posted in Mattress Pad Reviews on April 28th, 2009 by admin

We are all too familiar with the quality of good beds and the mattresses made by Sealy.
Of course we are aware of the better prices they charge, but then who minds paying more for a better quality product. So, let’s have a look at the Sealy’s heated mattress pad.

Since I have used a Sunbeam electrically heated mattress pad, that served me quite well for a pretty long time, I am obviously tempted to compare it to that. I paid a good price for Sunbeam as I needed it very badly at that time and had neither the time nor the inclination to go and search for a discount or a sale. Cost cutting for this piece of bedding took a back seat as the cold had already set in and it was getting colder by each passing day. On reaching home at the end of the second shift I would be very tired and the bed felt very cold. Of course the sheets would get warmed up thru my body heat but not the mattress beneath me. That is how I ended up with a Sunbeam. Only now I realize that Sealy heated mattress works better.

My observation is that the power cord connector being on the right side is more logical. Sunbeam provided it on the top. That gets very irritating from time to time when you happen to sleep over it. Being insensitive to this kind of a possession is ok. But I am quite sensitive to such bugs that prickle in my bed.

Another development is the provision of a warmer heat zone that keeps my feet warmer than before. There is one more thing, but I am thinking that this has a lot to do with personal taste. Adjusting the controls has always made me a bit uncomfortable. It was all the more so when I required turning off Sunbeam pad in half awake position. At night in the dark you are unable to read the rotational knob provided on Sunbeam pad. Quite often I would try it without any success but just couldn’t get used to bringing it to the right level.

Sealy electric heated mattress pad has improvised a better system. It has 2 buttons and five levels. Now I just push the one that I need. So, even in the darkness of the night I know which one would serve for the kind of temperature need. In a matter of days I could memorize the temperature levels and it became natural to me. Now I have a bed that remains comfortably warm, the way I like. When it comes to deciding between Sealy and Sunbeam, I prefer the former.

I may add here that the dimensions of the bed play a role with such products. You have to take into consideration if it is for a queen size mattress or a king size mattress. Any kind of a padding that extends the height of your bed will make it less effective. It may not fit well especially when you turn and toss around. You may also check on what Martex, Biddeford and Slumber Rest are offering. I understand they make heated mattress of good quality.

Heated Queen Mattress Covers

Posted in Mattress Pad Reviews on November 8th, 2008 by admin

I can’t believe it has already been a year since I first got queen size heated mattress. It’s one of those things that you can really excited about, because you know that when you get into your bed it will be warm and comfortable. You don’t have to worry about cold feet or waiting for one hour before you warm up and go to sleep. You enter the electric heat mattress with one goal only – to sleep immediately and rest until the morning comes.

Queen Mattress Heated Pads

Do you get crazy frustrated about all the choices out there? I think you’ll find that heated mattress pad in queen size is easy to find. Too easy, because there are too many options. Sealy and Sunbeam are first, but there are many others who are offering the same. You do not need to have training and education to be able to use them, you just one to buy one and start using it. But because there is so much pressure which one to buy, you get distracted by it and decide to leave it all for some other day. What’s the lesson here? Don’t think much about it, just buy the best you can find.  It’s not that expensive and you will be relaxed for a long time. That is much more important.

What’s your bed really worth? To get affordable product and then have it ruin your sleeping surface is not a good idea. You don’t want a cheap solution. OK, examine the price, but don’t go to low. It can hurt you.

I used to think that queen mattress pads was a bad idea, but when I picked one that has a higher price tag, I sleep easy and without a care. It seems that cheap is not always a pleasant word to hear.

I got mine from Sleepy’s and used a mattress cover for it. This way, when i pre warm my bed with a heated mattress pad, I have something that will hold that heat. I don’t have to leave it turned on for the whole night. It’s because that topper upstairs is keeping all that warm air inside. You may want to think about that too. Of course, this is a bit more expensive variant, but since you already have a good queen size bed and enough material to keep it a cozy place for sleep, why not indulge yourself?

I also suggest you make a deal with your partner about who will turn off the pad when it is necessary to do so. If you both go to sleep, you may end up in an oven and finish all sweaty. It can happen. I know there is a thermostat, but once you get warmer, that temperature you set at the start won’t be so pleasant anymore. It will be a lot warmer than you need it and you will not enjoy the rest of the night. You will either wake up to turn of the heated mattress pad or sleep and wake up in the morning all sweaty. One of you has to take care of it. This is why I think it’s the best to do the pre-warming thing and then use bed cover to save that temperature.

But at the end of the day, it is all your choice. I only suggest what I think is best and what may experiences have been. Either way, you can get pretty decent mattress pad for your queen size bed if you devote some time to it. And when it comes to price, don’t worry. These are cheaper than ever now.

Sunbeam Heated Mattress Pads

have concerns with Sunbeam heated mattress pad. It is not anything alarming, but I want to report the least of troubles I meet. I think that way I publish the best info on Sunbeam heated mattress pad, don’t you think so? By telling the truth, it is possible to avoid some of the negative sides this product has. And by avoiding, I mean that you simply have to buy another model.

?Sunbeam Heated Mattress Pad

Price is particularly important to me. It’s a key part to any product actually. I noticed Sealy lowered their prices a while back. I have yet to hear is this based on reason and logic. It’s probably because of the bad economy in general and that many people can’t buy on credit anymore. People generally tend to ask the same questions about the prices and benefits so we all know what’s important with mattresses and beds, right? There are only twenty-four hours in a day and we have to think ahead and plan our expenses. And it is easy for a big company like Sealy to promote price using a website and other media like TV and newspapers.  If you think there is a lot of competition with these heated mattresses, I’d say you’d be right. Last week I sat down to compare some models and prices, and Sunbeam heated mattress pad is among the best out there. People are often inexperienced with this and it takes them time to do it right. This is why I did this job, so you don’t have to.

Dual control is commonly used with these products. And you can’t go wrong with this strategy. It is best to use cover with this topper and save the heat. This way, when you turn it off, or your partnet, you will still haev it all saved under the topper that is on the bed.

It will be worth the price, in case you decide to buy it. I know the feeling and I can imagine what you are going through. Is it good enough, reliable, safe, will it last long… All these are normal questions, but Sunbeam mattress pad is really a good buy.
